This means that the quality varies: some records work right away, others are outdated. The app displays ratings and estimated speed of each point, which helps in choosing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the Google Play listing, the app appears with ads and in-app purchases \u2014 there is a paid version that removes the ads and unlocks extra features. Coverage is good in capital cities and weak in smaller towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pay attention to what this one does, because the name is confusing: the osmino: Share WiFi<\/strong> don't look for<\/strong> It's in the Communication category on Google Play and it's a... Widget to turn on your phone's personal hotspot.<\/strong> \u2014 the famous routing, which turns the device into a router and shares your mobile internet with those nearby.<\/p>\n

The official description on the app store is straightforward: simply tap the widget to share your Wi-Fi with nearby devices, and you can set the access point password in the app's settings. The store also warns, in the same entry, that in sharing mode the device's Wi-Fi is disabled and the connection is made via mobile data (3G, 4G, or LTE), thus reducing data consumption on your plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It makes this list for the opposite reason to the previous ones: when there's no free Wi-Fi nearby and you're the one needing to help someone's laptop, this shortcut saves you the trip to the system settings. It's especially useful on older Android devices, where the routing is hidden across three menu screens.<\/p>\n
