Who we are

O Technology News It's a Portuguese-language technology website that explains, in a straightforward way, how to make better use of your cell phone: which apps are worthwhile, what each one actually does, how to install them safely, and where the pitfalls are.

We've been publishing since 2024, and today the site is read in over 30 languages. It's an independent publishing project, maintained by the operation. SpotAds, Supported by advertising — we don't charge a subscription and we don't require registration to read anything.

What you'll find here

  • App lists Out of necessity: editing photos, listening to music, organizing my phone, keeping up with my routine, learning something new.
  • Step-by-step guides Installation, configuration, and usage instructions, written for non-technical users.
  • Security alertsCommon scams, apps that promise the impossible, and what to check before installing anything.

How we choose and write the content.

Our rule is simple and applies to all published text:

  • We only recommend apps that are available in official app stores. (Google Play and App Store). We do not distribute modified APKs, "cracked" versions, pirated apps, or any downloads outside of the official app stores.
  • We don't promise what the app doesn't deliver. If a feature is paid for, we say it is paid. If a result is approximate or merely entertaining, we say it is approximate. Entertainment apps are not considered medical or financial tools in our context.
  • We respect copyright. We talk about legal streaming services — free with ads or subscription-based — and we don't teach you how to bypass subscriptions, DRM, or paywalls.
  • We do not publish anything that could be used to monitor another person. Tracking is a matter for your own lost device or transparent parental control, with consent — never for monitoring a partner, colleague, or third parties.
  • We corrected the errors. Apps change names, prices, and ownership. When someone points out an outdated version, we review and update the article.

Who writes

The content is produced by Technology News Team, edited by Ricardo Sanches, [Name], who is responsible for the site's editorial line: selecting topics, checking the information for each cited application, and final review before publication. The texts are based on practical use of the applications, official developer documentation, and information published in the app stores.

How the site sustains itself

The Technology News website is free because it displays advertising, This is primarily handled through Google Ad Manager and Google AdSense. One of the formats is the interstitial ad, a full-screen ad displayed during page transitions that can always be closed. No editorial content on the site is hidden behind an ad.

We occasionally use partner links. When there is payment involved, this does not change the criteria for what we recommend — and whoever pays does not choose what we write.
